Logo created for a new CMS service soon to be released. Still fine tuning the colors and finalizing the typography but I believe it is pretty close to done. I really like the energy and orange/cyan color scheme. What do you think?

Besides laughing and demanding that I turn it into a t-shirt he wanted to know how I made it. It is a basic graphic and didn't require any special skills to create and consequently it occurred to me it could be used as a good introduction to Adobe Illustrator functionality. Considering this I decided to make a tutorial for him and will be sharing it with everyone soon.

I understand what it means but I've always been a bit perplexed by the placard's purpose other than letting potential passengers know that they are in for possibly the (last) ride of their life.

In a similar vein this website should probably wear an experimental placard as well. This is my sandbox, my playground - a place where I try out techniques that would never make it into a client site. To that end, something may very well may look out place. (Especially on IE6, which frankly, it probably always will.)

In particular, I've built the site upon the Business Catalyst CMS which is a new one for me. I figured there was no better way to get my head around it than to build something with it. I'm still learning how to harness its power and I'm finding very it powerful in some ways and not some much other ways. (Full report coming in the near future.)

Further, I'm starting to play with HTML 5 and CSS 3 and nothing will break an old browser faster.

You've been forewarned. You may not be in for the ride of your life however your experiences will vary.
